12 Events Announced for LEO Meath’s Local Enterprise Week 2023
Small businesses and budding entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to sample 12 events aimed at helping them to start their business as part of this year’s Local Enterprise Week in Meath. This annual initiative of Local Enterprise Offices nationwide, supported by Enterprise Ireland and the local authorities, takes place from the 6th -10th March this year across the country.
Speaking with Michelle Goodwin, Business Advisor at LEO Meath, she explains that “Local Enterprise Week is a fantastic marker in the road for any business. It’s an opportunity to take stock of where you are, see where you can grow, where you can innovate or maybe become more sustainable, and also find out what resources are on your doorstep. It’s a week that has something for everyone, and may just supply the tools that are needed to take your dream to the next step in becoming reality!”
LEO Meath’s events will include presentations from successful local start-ups. Owen Clifford, Head of Retail from Bank of Ireland will be at the Retailers event on Monday 6th March, Tom Rowan of Rowan Engineering Consultants will speak at the Innovation Workshop on Tuesday 7th March, and Shane Holland of Shane Holland Design will present on Wednesday 8th in the Regional Exporters Event, sharing his story of how they started their export journey, and the challenges and successes in breaking into new overseas markets. Local lady Hilary McGrath from A Bit on the Side Jellies, will share her tips on how her product went from her kitchen table to being stocked country wide.
