Large crowds turned out to say goodbye to Pat Mullaney who stepped down as manager of Navan Town Centre recently.
Having played a central part of life in Navan for the past 40 years, and managed the shopping centre for 31 years, there was sadness as he stepped down and said goodbye to the many customers and traders, he has worked with over the years.
At his farewell party in the Shopping Centre, there was music by Mark Cahill’s 'Ivory Sessions' and Pat himself delighted the crowds with a performance. There was a donation of €5,000 to Tabor House, a charity dear to Pat's heart from the traders.
After 31 years at the helm of Navan Shopping Centre, he can be proud of his legacy, leaving behind a thriving shopping outlet in the heart of the town, which has transformed shopping in Navan, as well as being a hub for sponsorship and fund raising for organisations across the county.
During his tenure, the Shopping Centre trebled in size and Pat relished the opportunity to build business and attract more customers.
