Michael celebrates 102nd birthday with family and a glass of Guinness

Michael Power, formerly of Old Road, Dunsany, celebrated his 102nd birthday with some of his family in Waterford, where he now resides with his sister Ann after moving from Navan, a number of years ago.

Michael received a letter and commemorative medal from President Michael D Higgins to mark the occasion. Michael enjoyed a wonderful afternoon celebrating with his family and friends with some dancing, cake and a lovely glass of Guinness in the stylish surrounds of The Marina Hotel in Waterford City.

Michael worked with horses in Meath, most notably with Lord Fingall when Roddy Owen won the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 1959.
