Excitement as 11th Meath Style Awards launched

Prepare to pop open the bubbly and get your glad rags on because the Meath Style Awards in association with Specsavers are back, promising to be better than ever! The event that takes place on June 16th promises to be a night of summer fun, entertainment, glitz and glamour to recognise to the highest calibre of enterprise in our county.

Chelsea Farrell, former Miss Ireland, model and influencer, and Paul Carroll, stylist and former winner, will host this year’s event, which honours the best of the best in business under the umbrella of style, in the stunning surrounds of the Headfort Arms Hotel in Kells.

Sponsors for this year's event are Specsavers, Navan, Stilleto, Trim, Ebony Boutique Trim, Skin & Bodyworks, Balance Clinic Spa, Headfort Arms Hotel, Ambrose Clinton, June Rayfus and Meath County Council.

Amy Davidson from Specsavers Navan says they are looking forward to supporting style and local business again, saying: "This is our eighth year sponsoring the awards and we have always enjoyed it. It is always been such a huge part of our calendar year working around the Meath Style Awards. Specsavers loves to promote style and fashion and we always want to support that especially merging with local businesses around Co Meath."

The glam event will be reinvented this year to add some summer sparkle, as Olivia Duff from the Headfort Arms Hotel explains: "We are really delighted to host the Meath Style Awards again in Kells. It has become a signature calander event of the year and I'm really happy to see it move to June this year where will bring some summer sparkle to the evening, something a little bit different.

"We are looking at an evening that will incorporate all of our local producers again. There might be some award winning Kells Gin thrown in there! I'd encourage everyone to get their tickets quickly when they are released because it is always a sell out event."

Paul Carroll said: "Chelsea and I are both delighted to return as hosts of The Meath Style awards 2023 after a hugely successful night last year. It is a huge honour for us both to host what is the most glamourous night on Meath's social calendar. We both look forward once again to meeting all the finalists and winners on the night."

Sponsor, Maureen Callaghan from Ebony Boutique in Trim said: "It is fantastic to be involved, it's a lovely night, always so well organised and it's great to showcase what the county has to offer. It's nice to meet other businesses on the night and have that sense of community. We are based in Trim and have such a loyal customer base all over the county and beyond, Meath is a fabulous place to have a business and it's lovely to be able to celebrate that."

Andrea Farrelly owner of Skin & Bodyworks said she was excited to return as a sponsor once again. "It is great to be able to support this award, we won it twice so I think it was the next step to sponsor it and give it back to somebody else," she said. It's brilliant to see all of the local businesses coming together and supporting each other on the night."

June Rayfus from June Rayfus Interiors said they are "delighted and very proud" to be involved with the Meath Style Awards. She added: "We really want to encourage small businesses starting out to put themselves forward as nominees. You really get so much from it and it can give you the confidence to stride forward with what you are doing."

Ailish Shaw, media and communications officer with Meath County Council said: “The Meath Style Awards gives us an opportunity to recognise the commitment and hard work of a diverse range of local businesses striving to achieve business excellence, while delivering local employment. The Style Awards is an inclusive event celebrating the achievements of local enterprise. We encourage all those who shop and support local to nominate their favourite Meath business!”

Mary McGuigan, Group Commercial Manager with Celtic Media Group said: "The enthusiasm for these awards is as keen as ever. Our sponsors gathered last week in the Headfort Arms Hotel and among the valued sponsors who have supported this event for many years, we were delighted to welcome last year's Overall Excellence in Style Winner, Ambrose Clinton and his business partner, his daughter Davida, as well as some of our other amazing sponsors.

"Thanks to Olivia and her team at the Headfort Arms for their hospitality and we look forward to being back there on 16th June. PS - Overnight we have had more than 300 entries and nominations! Keep them coming in!"
