All fun and games at St Pat's CS Sports Day

The sun came out to welcome back Sports Day 2023 to St. Patrick's Classical School on Wednesday, 17th May.

The school's PE department headed up by Mr Shane O’Rourke, Mr Felim O’ Reilly and Mr Ciaran Murphy organised a fun filled, action packed day for the school's 920 strong student body.

Events included a Gladiator Challenge, Sumo Suits, Penalty Shootouts, Hurling Hot Shots, Bungee Run, Rodeo Bull, SuperPAT(sixth years), Athletics finals, Sixtth Year Soccer League, Bubble Soccer, Tug of War and the High Jump.

Free lunch was served to all students and the ice cream van arrived to cater for dessert. All staff were involved in the smooth running of the day.

St. Patrick’s Classical School would sincerely like to thank all our fantastic sponsors for their generous support in helping to make our school Sports Day a really special occasion. Your generosity is greatly appreciated by students, staff and parents.

Meade Farm for supplying fresh fruit, Kepak for supplying the burgers, Aldi for supplying the burger buns, Avonmore for supplying cartons of Mooju & Protein Milk and JM Food Services for their meticulous work preparing the food.

The gladiator challenge demanded strength and a good balance.
Weight lifting was a major part of the sports day.
Only the brave and the bold took on the Rodeo Bull challenge.
