GALLERY: 'Brand New Day' for Spotlight

Spotlight Stage School Navan held their bi-annual class production ‘Brand New Day’ in the Solstice Theatre recently and received standing ovations every night at the sold out performances. Featuring over 350 children the show thrilled audiences with its incredible talent and energy. From the three-year old tiny tots right up to the senior students, the professionalism, production values and talent of all involved was worthy of anything that would be seen in the Bord Gais Theatre or London’s West End. The opening video set the tone with the cast gathering in various locations around Meath performing along the route while making their way to The Solstice eventually entering to rapturous applause.

Much-loved musicals from classics 'Matilda' and 'Hairspray' to newer musicals such as 'Jamie' or 'Come From Away' were performed with tremendous energy and precision throughout. Beautiful costumes lit up the stage and had every cast member looking their best. The show ended with a spectacular Eurovision medley which featured lots of good luck messages to the children of Meath from Johnny Logan, Paul Harrington, Dana and Bucks Fizz member, Cheryl Baker.

Spotlight Stage School has been based in St Mary's Community Centre for the last 27 years and is still enjoying amazing success with children performing on the Late Late Toy show for the last 16 years, including a very special Toy Show send-off for Ryan Tubridy on his last Late Late Show on Friday night.
