Join Navan Cycling Initiative at Sunday's charity cycle

Navan's Alzheimer Whistlemount Day Care Centre are hosting their annual coffee morning for cyclists this Sunday 25th June.
Navan Cycling Initiative are inviting cyclists to join them on a short, leisurely cycle to Whistlemount Centre on the Kells Road to enjoy a coffee and make a donation to the worthy charity. The centre will be open between 10am and 12pm for those who wish to show their support.
The group will be departing from Meath County Council Car Park, Railway Street, Navan at 10.30am and cycling about 3km distance to Whistlemount. Local cycling clubs are also being asked to include the centre as a stop on their Sunday group spins.
The return route will lead cyclists to the Market Square, Navan.
The main sponsor of this event is Brian Connaughton, winner of the 1969 Rás Tailtean.
All donations received from this event organised by Navan Road Club, is greatly appreciated.
It is important to note that this event is not stewarded meaning all participants are responsible for their own safety. Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and all partakers are encouraged to wear a helmet.
Navan Cycling Initiative are advising all to ensure their bike is roadworthy by checking tyres and brakes and to also be sure to obey traffic lights and take care at roundabouts.
Alzheimer's Whistlemount Day Care Centre care and meet the needs of people with dementia in a 'warm, welcoming and safe environment while providing support and stimulation.' The funds that are raised from this social cycle will all be going towards this good cause.
