Lack of tickets for Tailteann Cup final deemed 'a disgrace'
Fans urged to go through their clubs rather than relie on 'general release'
Meath fans appear to be struggling to get their hands on tickets - at least on general release - ahead of the Tailteann Cup final as the countdown to the game against Down picks up pace.
The game is fixed for 3pm on Saturday 15th July and will be the curtainraiser ahead of the All-Ireland SFC semi-final between Dublin and Monaghan.
However with Dublin fans likely to fill up a large part of Croke Park on their own and Monaghan and Down also certain to bring a big following the rush for tickets has clearly intensified with demand likely to outpace supply.
Some followers of the green and gold have expressed their frustrations online at their inability to get a ticket through general release.
One fan has posted how the struggle to get a ticket was "a disgrace."
"Supporters who have followed Meath to Cork, Derry, Limerick and beyond and failed to get a ticket for the final is beyond a joke," the follower added.
Some might have wondered why the Tailteann Cup final was not fixed ahead of the Kerry v Derry All-Ireland SFC semi-final on Sunday 16th July when the demand for tickets is likely to be a lot less intense.
All tickets are not on general release with supporters urged instead to go through their clubs.
