Irish band Arco Arena ready to rock Navan

Arco Arena the original Irish four piece post funk / dance-rock band from Dundalk will be performing in Henry Loughran's in Navan on Friday the 14th of July.

The music group has to date spawned such up-and-coming Irish artists such as Just Mustard, David Keenan, The Mary Wallopers, AE Mak and TPM.

Mixing heavy funk-focused shifting time signatures with straight up hooks, described as the heavy riffage of bands like Idles, LaFaro, Rage Against The Machine, And So I Watch You From Afar, and Pixies crossed with the unstoppable grooviness of Foals, Battles, Chic, Adebesi Shank, Daft Punk, Fatboy Slim, Talking Heads and the funk stomp of Breakwater, The Bar-Kays, and Parliament Funkadelic their frenetic live shows are a rolling cascade of starting-never-stopping riffs and crowd singalongs.

With tracks like the sledgehammer groove of ''Docker Martins'', the frantic funk breakdown of ''Death Breathers'', and trippy dance sections of ''Asleep Too Long'' and ''I Push Planets'' as well as other as yet unreleased tracks they bring the term ''dance-rock'' to a new level of performance.

They've performed in prestigious venues all over Ireland from The Spirit Store in Louth and the Roisin Dubh in Galway, to The Workmans Club in Dublin.

Currently on their 2023 Irish tour, a slew of self released singles and E.Ps under their belt, a debut album in the works, and their recognition and inclusion in RTE 2XM's ''Lockdown Livestream'' the future looks extremely bright for Arco Arena in 2023.
