Revving up for the Honda 50 Nobber Memorial Run

The second annual Honda 50 Nobber Memorial Run takes place on Sunday, 6th August with all proceeds going to Nobber Cancer Support Group.

The run is for Honda 50's 70's and 90's but all motorbikes and vintage cars are welcome to take part and registration (€20) is at 10am at Keogan's Pub with the run setting off at 12noon. Refreshments will be served before and after the event in Keogan's Pub.

Last year's inaugural event, organised by Honda 50 enthusiasts Thomas and Maggie Heffernan, was a huge success with 150 bikes descending on the north Meath village. The weather was glorious as the Hondas set off on their journey and organisers are hoping it will make a return by the time this year's event comes around next Sunday.

Thomas and Maggie were inspired to organise the event to raise money for their local cancer support group after seeing firsthand how invaluable the service was when their daughter-in-law Róisín was undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Nobber Support Group covers the cost of transport for those undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
