Heeney to get day of All-Ireland finals underway

Meath referee Bernard Heeney will be the man in the middle when Clare take on Tipperary in the All-Ireland Premier Junior final at Croke Park on Sunday.

The Clann na nGael official is a well-known figure around the GAA grounds of Meath taking charge of game.

The respected referee will get the action underway on Sunday in the curtainraiser.

In all three finals will be played with Meath due to take on Derry in the Intermediate showdown at 2.45 while Waterford play Cork in the senior final at 5pm.

At the launch Uachtarán of the Camogie Association, Hilda Breslin announced the match officials for this Sunday’s Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Championship final: “John Dermody, Lough Lene Gales, Co. Westmeath will oversee proceedings for the Cork v Waterford Senior Final, whilst Barry Nea of Clonkill Camogie Club, Co. Westmeath will referee the Intermediate final with Derry v Meath.
