Quest for senior camogie title gets underway

The opening round of the 2023 Senior Camogie Championship took place earlier this week with four games across the A and B divisions.

In Senior A there were wins for Kiltale, who got the better of newly promoted, Blackhall Gaels in Kilcloon, Ratoath who came out on top against Dunderry while in Baconstown a late Na Fianna point gave the county champions the bragging rights in a repeat of last years county final against Kilmessan.

In Senior B Kildalkey were one point winners against Drumree while on Monday evening Killyon set out their intentions with a home win over Clann Na nGael.

The second round of games are down for decision this weekend.

Senior A

Kiltale 2-12 Blackhall Gaels 0-10

Ratoath 3-08 Dunderry 1-08

Na Fianna 0-11 Kilmessan 1-7

Senior B

Killyon 3-19 Clann na nGael 0-7

Kildalkey 0-12 Drumree 1-08
