Leinster set for Ulster clash at Navan this evening

To whet the appetite for Ireland's World Cup clash with defending champions South Africa in France on Saturday Navan RFC will host a pre-season friendly between Leinster and Ulster at Balreask Old this evening (Friday), 6.30pm.

Leinster head coach Leo Cullen has named a strong Leinster side which includes Gormanston man Aitzol King on the bench.

Aitzol King is expected to play for Leinster tonight

Cullen’s selection sees a starting lineup that includes five senior internationals and four players from the Leinster Academy.

Chris Cosgrave starts at full-back, with Tommy O’Brien and Rob Russell on the wings. Jamie Osborne and Ciarán Frawley form the centre partnership, with Harry Byrne and Cormac Foley completing the backline.

In the pack, Academy props Jack Boyle and Rory McGuire pack down either side of John McKee. Brian Deeny and Jason Jenkins are in the heart of the pack for the second game in a row, with Max Deegan, Will Connors and James Culhane in the back-row.

The bench includes Dublin University’s Thomas Connolly, seven Academy players and experience from the likes of Ross Molony, Scott Penny and Jordan Larmour.

Tickets are available for the game here, with Adult tickets costing €10 and Junior tickets priced at €5
