Summerhill and Duleek/Bellewstown book their final places

Today was a good day for both Summerhill and Duleek/Bellewstown as they won their respective semi-finals at Pairc Tailteann.

In a disappointing, slow-burning SFC semi-final Summerhill put in a late push to secure a 0-10 to 0-8 victory over Donaghmore/Ashbourne.

Eoghan Frayne showed the way for Conor Gillespie's side with series of points while Conor Frayne, Conor Lyons, Adam McDonnell and Kevin Ryan also raised white flags.

The game was far from a classic and Summerhill didn't have the best of starts and trailed 0-4 to 0-6 at the break but they improved in the second-half to win out.

In the curtain-raiser at Pairc Tailteann Duleek/Bellewstown conjured up a very strong second-half display to defeat St Patrick's 1-17 to 1-9.

St Pat's led 1-6 to 0-8 at the break but Joe Sheridan's Duleek/Bellewstown were much the better side after the break and with the help of a Eoghan Heeney goal they ran out comfortable winners.

Donal Landy scored St Pat's goal in the opening half from a penalty but they were very much second best after the interval.
