Job opportunities come to Navan with two careers expos looming

Local jobseekers and those looking for a job closer to home will have the chance to explore opportunities in Meath at two major career expos in the coming weeks.

Meath Partnership will host a construction careers Expo in the Newgrange Hotel, Navan, on Friday 6th October from 10am to 1pm, while the County Meath Chambers Careers Expo returns to the Ardboyne Hotel on Wednesday 11th October, from 2pm to 8pm.

The Meath Partnership Careers Expo will have representatives from leading construction, training and recruitment companies. Aware that many of Tara Mines workers are on protective notice or unemployed, and that many have trades experience, Meath Partnership's Social Inclusion and Activation Programme (SICAP) team is collaborating with LMETB and Dept of Employment Affairs and Social Protection (DEASP) for this event. CV advice will also be available and business mentors will be on hand for those wishing to start their own business.

Meanwhile, the County Meath Chambers Careers Expo takes place in the Ardboyne Hotel from 2pm to 8pm on Wednesday 11th October providing the tens of thousands of commuters who travel out of the county each day the opportunity to explore potential jobs closer to home.

Cathaoirleach of Meath County Council, Cllr Tommy Reilly and Chief Executive, Fiona Lawless welcomed the launch of the Meath Careers Expo 2023 stating:

“We are delighted to support County Meath Chamber and the Meath Careers Expo 2023. This is a key event in the County for both employers and those seeking new opportunities or a change of career.

“It provides a strong platform to connect businesses from all sectors and industries with talent that will enable them to grow and expand.

“It is a unique, one-day event that provides 100’s of job opportunities under one roof and a direct link to the employers looking to fill key job vacancies”.
