'Dance or be Doomed' Drogheda Spooks Parade to return later this month
Drogheda's Spooks Parade to return later this month with the little ghouls taking over the streets once again.
This parade celebrates the beginning of the Lú Festival Of Light in ghastly style.
"Come and see the mythical Celtic powers of the Cailleach as she brings storms and the darkness of winter into our lives."
It's "Dance or be Doomed" when a procession of horrific characters march out onto the ancient streets of and drag their sinister souls across the town from Barlow House all the way to Laurence's Gate.
Six schools across Drogheda & East Meath will participate in the parade including Presentation Primary, St Brigids, St Patricks, St Pauls NS and Scoil Aonghusa Marymount NS.
Led by Director Kieran Gallagher, (Kada KaBoom Arts) working with a team of artists and a choreographer, the parade will also include local singers and musicians.
Droichead Arts Centre working with Kada KaBoom Arts and a fantastic team of artists will bring the Spooks Parade to the streets of Drogheda on Friday 27th October at 5.30pm.
