Rath Chairn sisters on 'An Old Song Re-Sung' tonight for Ireland Free State 100 celebrations

Étáin and Máire Ní Churraoin from Ráth Chairn are to feature in RTÉ's 'Ireland 100: An Old Song Re-Sung' with South Wind Blows Productions and Other Voices, tonight (Monday).

The sisters, alongside fellow members of Bláth na hÓige, open the live concert, performing 'Óró Sé Do Bheatha Abhaile' with Síle Denvir, Colm Mac an Iomaire and Liam Ó Maonlaí. The live concert marks 100 Years of the Irish Free State as part of the Decade of Centenaries Programme 2012-2023. 'An Old Song Re-Sung' will be broadcast on RTÉ One, RTÉ Player and RTÉ Radio 1 on Bank Holiday Monday, October 30th at 9:30pm.

Featured artists include Síle Denvir, Damien Dempsey, Dermot Kennedy, Colm Mac an Iomaire, Liam Ó Maonlaí, Denise Chaila, Martin Hayes, Dónal Lunny and Iarla Ó Lionáird.

'Ireland 100' was funded with the support of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
