Council gives green light for 700 homes in Dunboyne
Meath Co Council has given the green light for more than 700 homes on a 41 acres site in the Dunboyne/Clonee area.
Azra Property Company Limited sought a ten-year planning permission for a large-scale residential development of 716 homes on a 16.92 hectares site in the townlands of Castle Farm, Ruskin and Clonee, Dunboyne, Co Meath, which is located to the east of the railway line.
The proposed development is made up of a mixture of terraced, semi-detached and detached houses, duplexes and apartments. A total of 517 apartments are planned in eight buildings of four to seven storeys in height.
The apartments are made up of 10 one-bed apartments, 202 two-bed apartments, and 24 three-bed apartments accommodated in four 4-6 storey apartment buildings; 55 one-bed apartments, 80 two-bed apartments and 12 three-bed apartments accommodated in two six-seven storey apartment blocks and 36 one-bed apartments, 78 two-bed apartments and 20 three-bed apartments accommodated in two four-five storey apartment blocks.
The scheme also includes 155 two-storey houses, made up of eight two-bed homes, 69 three-bed homes, 74 four-bed homes and four five-bed homes. Also includes are 44 duplex units accommodated in two three-storey terraces made up of 22 one-bed units, 18 two-bed units and four three-bed units.
As part of the application, alterations to two roundabouts on the R147 (old Navan-Dublin Road) are also proposed as well as 470m of new distributor road.
Azra Property Company Limited is a subsidiary of the Comer Group. Meath Co Council has granted planning permission subject to 30 conditions.
