WATCH: Toy Show audience member reunited with family after six years apart

A Late Late Toy Show audience member got the surprise of a lifetime upon seeing some familiar faces in the studio.

Each year, the Toy Show organise guest appearances ranging from celebrities to local heroes and family members of the participating children.

This year they reunited a family that had spent six years apart.

This special surprise was lined up for Navan's Carol O'Brien who was sitting in the Toy Show audience. Patrick Kielty approached her with a surprise video message from her family 9,200 miles away in Australia.

Carol's daughter Joanne, son-in-law Richard and grandchildren Ben and Eva who live in Perth, Western Australia sent a short video waving to Carol before emerging from behind the Christmas Tree in the Toy Show studio.

The Toy Show team pulled on the heartstrings of the nation as we watched the family share an emotional embrace having not seen each other for years.

This heartwarming reunion was most definitely one of the standout moments of the Late Late Toy Show on Friday night.
