Inspired by the 2004 comedy, written and starring Tina Fey, is an adaptation of the stage musical Mean Girls. Angourie Rice plays new girl Cady Heron, while Reneé Rapp takes on the role of head Mean Girl Regina George.

Dune Part 2

Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya and Javier Bardem continue the action from the previous cliffhanger. Add in big names like Florence Pugh, Léa Seydoux, Austin Butler, and Christopher Walken joining the cast as director Villeneuve tells the second half of Frank Herbert’s epic sci-fi novel.

Dune Part 2

Ghostbusters Frozen Empire

Directed by Gil Kenan, it stars Carrie Coon, McKenna Grace and Paul Rudd, with the film’s setting again in the New York firehouse from the original films. A pretty solid franchise so far, it promises more pyrotechnics - with an expected avalanche of laughs thrown in.

Mickey 17

Directed by Oscar winning Bong Joon-ho, it stars Robert Pattinson, Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo in an adaptation of the sci-fi novel by Edward Ashton. Pattinson stars as a disposable employee whose body is regenerated with previous memories intact every time he dies.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024)

Starring Dan Stevens, Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry, it sees the two greatest kaiju of all time back for round two in the follow-up to the Monsterverse’s 2021 showdown. This time Godzilla and Kong face “a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world.” Adam Wingard returns as director.

All star definitely describes this one, with Ryan Reynolds, John Krasinski, Fiona Shaw, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Steve Carell, Matt Damon and Emily Blunt. Krasinski and Reynolds collaborated on this fantasy comedy about a young girl who learns she has the ability to see Imaginary Friends that have been abandoned.

Bad Boys 4

Starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, they once again play Sunshine State cops Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett on the chase for some nasty villains, added to by deadly females, fast cars and very loud guns. All in all, another probably winner in a franchise that keeps on winning.

A Quiet Place: Day One

Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn and Djimon Hounsou star in this prequel about those nasty aliens with super keen ears who devour anything that makes a noise. Coming before the original pair of films starring Emily Blunt, this tells the story of how these aliens fist landed on Earth, and how they took over.

A Quiet Place: Day One

Transformers One

Starring Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth and Jon Hamm, the franchise returns to its roots with an animated prequel that explores the origins of the robots’ home world of Cybertron and the rivalry between Optimus Prime and Megatron. Hemsworth voices Optimus Prime versus Tyree Henry as Megatron.

Joker: Folie à Deux (2024)

Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga star in this follow-up to the mega successful Batman villain which won Phoenix the Oscar for Best Actor. This time out, Lady Gaga is his love interest - in a story that veers off into musical territory at times

Gladiator 2

Did we ever imagine that the quiet boy from Normal People would end up in a huge sword and sandals blockbuster. Director Ridley Scott helms this sequel to the original, starring our own Paul Mescal, alongside Denzel Washington, Connie Nielsen and Derek Jacobi revolving around a grown-up Lucius, who has become emperor.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley

Eddie Murphy reprises his role as detective Axel Foley, who this time finds himself drawn back to the opulent environs of Beverly Hills to investigate the untimely demise of a long-time confidant. The original 1984 film was a huge hit when Murphy was 21 - can he still deliver at age 61?
