Cavan firefighter injured in line of duty

A firefighter from Cavan County Fire Service was injured in the line of duty while attending a call related to Storm Isha on Monday morning.

A statement from the Fire Service said: "His welfare is our immediate priority and we wish him a swift and full recovery.

"We are providing all possible support to our colleague and his family, as well as his crew mates. In the meantime, we ask for privacy for our injured colleague and his family."
