Fianna Fail add third local election candidate in Navan
Fianna Fáil in Navan have added a third candidate for the local elections with the addition of Bohermeen woman, Niamh Carroll.
The party made the addition at a meeting of the Navan Comhairle Ceantair on Friday night in the Newgrange Hotel.
Ms Carroll now joins sitting councillors, Tommy Reilly and Padraig Fitzsimons on the ticket.
Addressing members Ms Carroll set out her ambitions both for her campaign and the need to balance investment in rural areas of the electoral area such as Bohermeen, Boyerstown, Robinstown and Dunderry.
The issues of transport, community facilities, housing and childcare were all issues that she said were core to her campaign.
Ms Carroll is a teacher in St Patrick’s Classical school and this is her first time to contest the local elections in Meath.
