Gardaí stand down missing person's appeal in Cavan
Body discovered yesterday in County Cavan
There's been sad news overnight. William Cranley (34), the man reported missing from his home in Mullagh, has been found, deceased.
Gardaí confirmed last night that a missing person's appeal for William had been stood down following the discovering of a many's body yesterday (Thursday) in County Cavan.
In a statement, An Garda Síochána thanked the media and the public for their assistance.
Gardaí had issued a missing person's appeal for William on Wednesday. He was last seen at his home at 4am on Tuesday morning, April 30.
Originally from Kilbarrack in Dublin, William had been living in the town of Mullagh.
He is survived by his parents Paul and Mary, siblings and family. May he rest in peace.
