Kilbride stay one step ahead to secure final place

Kilbride...2-9

Blackhall Gaels...0-14

Kilbride ladies travelled to Kilcloon on Tuesday evening for round six of their league clash with Blackhall Gaels and carved out a deserved one-point victory that secures their place in the final.

Kilbride certainly made a bright start with Emily Keenan firing to the net.

Blackhall got into the game gradually, but both teams found scores hard to come by as the defences generally dominated.

A further three points from Emily Keenan and Aideen Reilly saw Kilbride finishing the half one point ahead, 1-5 to 0-5.

The second-half was end to end football but like the first half scores were hard to come by. Blackhall went in front 15 minutes in but another goal from Emily Keenan put Kilbride back in front.
