Kilmessan battle hard but just fall short against Kildalkey

This proved to a cracking HL Div 1 encounter with Kildalkey doing enough to get the better of Kilmessan at Kildalkey on Tuesday evening.

Adam O'Neill made a big contribution to Kilmessan's account with two goals while Sean Doyle also found the net for the home side.

The visitors could never feel comfortable as Kilmessan stayed close to their heels throughout. Kildalkey led 3-20 to 3-13 at the interval.

Jack Cottrell made a big contribution to Kilmessan's tally with five point, three frees with Darren Reilly, Darragh Horan, Joey Keena, Finn Conroy and Conor Gorman others to fire over for the home team.
