CMAT stays true to Dunboyne roots at epic Fairview Park gig
An estimated 8,000 fans packed into the Big Top in Dublin’s Fairview park to see Dunboyne's finest CMAT playing her Dublin date on the California or Bust tour.
The 'I Wanna Be a Cowboy', Baby! singer was first up at the Fairview summer series of shows that will also see Fat Boy Slim, The Coronas, The Saw Doctors and Loyle Carner and Two Door Cinema Club performing at the Northside park throughout the month.
Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson CMAT who moved to Clonee and then to Dunboyne from Dublin as a youngster showed off her Royal County roots on the big screen behind her during an electric set.
Sinead said it was a teacher in Dunboyne College of Further Education that spotted the potential in the music star.
CMAT's mam, Sinead peviously told the Meath Chronicle who Ciara played the tin whistle in primary school and "she was always singing, Ciara was singing before she could talk."
