Rossin Rovers' 5k Heritage Run returns

Event part of club's 40th anniversary celebrations

The committee of Rossin Rovers are delighted to announce that, their very successful, 5K Heritage Run is making a welcome return on 25th August, at 12pm as part of the club’s 40th Anniversary celebrations.

The breath-taking route passes by the entrance of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Newgrange and provides fantastic views over the Boyne Valley.

The race, open to all ages and levels of runners and indeed, walkers, is a chip timed event managed by local business MyRunResults, an industry leader in Ireland.

It will prove to be a superb community event for both the local population and the wider running community.

The club will help participants prepare for it by hosting a six week Couch 2 5K programme. You can secure your place by visiting www.myrunresults.com and searching for the race.

The club wishes to thank Main Sponsor, Scotch Hall Shopping Centre, for their generosity and support for the event and to all the other sponsors and offers of help that have come forward.

“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Rossin Rovers as sponsor for the 5k Heritage Run in August," commented Nichola Kelly, general manager of Scotch Hall Shopping Centre.

"This event celebrates community and health & wellness with the stunning backdrop of World UNESCO Heritage Site, Newgrange.

"At Scotch Hall we are committed to supporting local initiatives that bring people together and foster a sense of community. We look forward to seeing everyone at the starting line”
