Jake Carter set to headline Ablefest 2024 at Causey

Ablefest, the inclusive music and arts festival, is set to return to Causey Farm, Girley, Fordstown, takes place on Sunday 21st July next. This year's festival promises an extraordinary lineup and a wealth of inclusive activities designed to celebrate and support neurodiverse children, adults, and their families. This year's festival will feature a headline performance by acclaimed country singer Jake Carter, along with a host of other talented artists from around the country.

Ablefest 2024 will also offer a diverse array of engaging activities and facilities, including: Drumming Workshops: Interactive sessions where participants can explore rhythm and creativity; Accessaloo Accessible Toilets: Bespoke facilities that cater to hoist and changing bed users, ensuring a comfortable experience for all attendees; Art Exhibitions and Workshops: Showcasing works from artists of all abilities and providing hands-on opportunities to create; Carers Area: A dedicated space for caregivers to relax and recharge along the sensory trail; Ceili Shed: An immersive environment for traditional Irish music, where visitors can enjoy live performances and join in the dancing; Open Mic Shed: A platform for aspiring musicians and performers to share their talents with a supportive audience.

Established in 2018, Ablefest is an inclusive music and arts festival designed to cater to neurodiverse children, adults, and their families. The festival was established by parents of children with additional needs, professionals working in Inclusion and disability, event management and other relevant areas. The committee continues to grow and thrive. In 2018, following an initial conversation which took place between local advocates and parents, Shay Casserly and Kevin Farrell. Ablefest has grown exponentially since, supported by a committee of like minded people along with our many volunteers and festival goers over the years. They have all helped shape Ablefest into a beacon of inclusivity and creativity.
