Rossin Rovers' 5k Heritage Run returns

Rossin Rovers are one of the best known soccer clubs in the Meath area. Like any club they have to raise funds to sustain them and later this month they will be staging a 5k Heritage Run.

The club is after all based in an area rich in heritage and history.

The club have issued a statement to outline their plans.

The committee of Rossin Rovers are delighted to announce that, their previously very successful, 5K Heritage Run is making a welcome return on 25th August at 12pm as part of the club’s 40th Anniversary celebrations.

The breath-taking route passes by the entrance of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Newgrange and provides fantastic views over the Boyne Valley.

The race, open to all ages and levels of runners and indeed, walkers is a chip timed event managed by local business MyRunResults, an industry leader in Ireland.

It will prove to be a superb community event for both the local population and the wider running community.

The club will help participants prepare for it by hosting a 6 week Couch 2 5K programme. You can secure your place by visiting www.myrunresults.com and searching for the race.
