Fire service tackles blaze in Navan town centre

Navan Fire Service was called to a huge blaze in the centre of Navan town tonight.

The fire broke out in a private garden off the Abbey Road car park close to St Ultan's Terrace and the old Navan Town Hall.

Black smoke could be seen across the bottom of Watergate Street and the Kells Road just after 8pm.

Two units of the fire service attended the scene quickly and brought the fire under control.

Residents in nearby St Ultan's Terrace were shocked at the blaze and glad it was brought under control so quickly.
