Ambitious plans in place to re-develop Thomas Coogan Park
Quid Games fundraiser to be held this Saturday
St Ultan`s GFC, St Ultan's LGFA and St Ultan's/Cortown Gaels have embarked on an ambitious project to re-develop Thomas Coogan Park pitch and grounds at Martry.
To help raise funds St Ultan's will be hosting the Quid Games on October 12th, in the Headfort Arms Hotel.
Based on the popular Netflix show Quid Game is a new, action-packed fundraising event that will be held on this Saturday, 12th October in the Headfort.
The event will feature a number of exciting games, and, participants from across the county, will have the chance to take part and win an amazing €5,000 for themselves and their club/ chosen charity.
Tommy Tallon, Chair of the Quid Games fundraising committee said, ”First and foremost we’re hoping to provide a great night’s entertainment to the people who attend. Our contestants have done brilliant fundraising and the response we’ve received from local businesses, the local community and the whole county has been amazing.”
Tickets for the Quid games can be bought in Nearby Allenstown, the Silver Tankard, McHugh’s Shop, Mace Newgate and directly from the Headfort Arms Hotel.

All monies raised is going back into the club and the redevelopment of Thomas Coogan Park, Martry. The goal of this development is to ensure the men’s, ladies and underage clubs have a facility that meets the future needs of our community. St Ultan’s aim is to provide a safe and social environment for everyone to use.
The development will consist of:
Development of main pitch.
New training pitch /lighting.
New community walking track with lighting and fencing. Including biodiversity initiatives along the track.
Carpark extension.
Groundworks /infrastructure for main pitch lighting in the future..
