A grant of €179,273 has been announced for renovation works on the car park beside Baile Ghib playing fields and the naíonra.

This grant has been approved to carry out drainage and other necessary works on the car park at the field and around Halla Bhaile Ghib and to resurface it.

In addition to this, Minister of State Byrne has approved a grant of €29,520 for Cumann CLG Mícheál Breathnach in Indreabhán, Co.Galway to hire a consultant in order to draft a plan for the proposed development of the car park at the pitch at An Cnoc in Indreabhán.

Speaking about the grant today, Minister of State Byrne said:

"These clubs are active within their local communities in promoting sport for under age, men’s and women’s teams. The members of these two clubs take great enjoyment in the Gaelic games they take part in and as such I am delighted to approve these grants for them. The support I have approved for Baile Ghib is also in line with my Department's goal of supporting the development of early years services in Gaeltacht areas."
