Revenue seize 8 million cigarettes in County Meath

Revenue officers seized eight million cigarettes in County Meath yesterday (15th October), as a result of risk profiling .

The illicit cigarettes, branded ‘MAC’, have an estimated value of €7,215,000 and represent a potential loss to the Exchequer of €5,706,000.

Investigations are ongoing.
