The Guy family is getting ready to open up their farm again this October with the return of their hugely successful pumpkin experience.

Pickin’ pumpkins with the Guys...

The Guy Farm Pumpkin Patch at Boardsmill is back once again this year with thousands of pumpkins and a massive 8ft maize maze spanning five acres.

Following the unprecedented success of the Guy family’s pumpkin experience last year, they have decided to open up their working farm again. Having successfully grown carrots for over three generations, the innovative idea to grow pumpkins was the brainchild of their three children Sean (14), Eimear (13) and Conor (10), who bought some pumpkins from an honesty box, carved them out around the kitchen table and saved the seeds.

They were surprised how well they grew and decided to open up their farm. This year, they have planted approximately 20,000 seedlings of multiple variety pumpkins and gourds across their farm as well as a large maize maze.

They are welcoming people to a unique sensory experience of walking through an authentic pumpkin field to choose their own from the thousands available, as well as taking part in a host of additional fun activities, including the massive maize maze.

Visitors can select their perfect pumpkin from over 12 different varieties planted across 8 acres including white, green, yellow, multi-coloured or of course the quintessential orange. Brave souls can find their way through the 8ft high maze in the maize which spans a massive five acres while there’s also the opportunity to browse the Halloween themed bale art, have your face painted and enjoy a hot drink from the coffee dock.
