PMC Physiotherapy... ‘An expert team providing the highest level of treatment’

Since its inception in 2014, the clinic has grown steadily, from a single physiotherapist clinic initially, to a robust team of seven fully accredited chartered physios.

To celebrate this significant milestone, PMC Physiotherapy recently hosted a special event at its clinic in Dunboyne, as a token of appreciation for its loyal patients, staff, sports clubs and fellow businesses from the Dunboyne area.

A Growing Presence in Dunboyne

Founded by Paul Conneely, PMC Physiotherapy was established to offer high quality diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation to everyone in the South Meath, Dublin 15 and North Kildare areas.

Over the past decade, the clinic has expanded to include a multidisciplinary team of experts, each specialising in areas such as vestibular rehabilitation, sports injury, facial palsy, pelvic health, and musculoskeletal injuries.

“Our goal has always been to ensure every patient feels respected, listened to, receives the highest quality of care and leaves the clinic with a positive experience,” says Paul, reflecting on the clinic’s growth. Community Impact & Expertise.

To date, PMC Physiotherapy has treated over 5,850 individual patients and logged well over 30,000 visits from the local community.

In addition to the clinic’s impact on individual patients, the team has provided support for numerous elite and amateur athletes, including involvement in Paralympic Games, World and European Championships in Swimming, Athletics and Cycling.

Paul has been Lead Physiotherapist with the Meath GAA Senior Football Team while the other Physiotherapists have covered a number of local and national sporting events.

PMC Physios all have a strong academic foundation, with seven BSc degrees, three MSc degrees, and a postgraduate certification between them.

World-Class Expertise

At the core of PMC Physiotherapy’s success is its highly qualified team, motivated by a commitment to providing the highest level of treatment.

Leading the vestibular rehabilitation services is Lee Chambers, whose expertise ensures patients with balance and dizziness issues receive exceptional care.

Jack Barrett heads the sports injury rehabilitation department, working closely with both amateur and elite athletes to help them recover from injuries and return to peak performance.

For those dealing with facial palsy and needing paediatric physiotherapy, Caitriona Conneely provides specialised treatment tailored to individual needs, ensuring comprehensive care for these sensitive conditions.

Julia Hayes is the specialist in pelvic health, offering expert guidance and treatment for women facing pelvic floor issues, helping them regain confidence and functionality.

Dave Greene, is a Clinical Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, focusing on treating everything from everyday aches and pains to more complex orthopaedic injuries. Meghan McDonald is the face of customer care, ensuring every patient’s experience is smooth and supportive from the moment they step through the doors.

Modern Spacious Facilities

The clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including 3 private treatment rooms, a full functional rehab gym, Pilates and yoga studio, and ample parking for patients arriving on crutches or wheelchairs with ground floor entry.

PMC Physio continues to invest in state-of-the-art technology, allowing it to expand its treatment offerings year on year. When asked about the clinic success, Paul says “It is very important that when someone comes through the door, that they get the sense that we are professional, and serious about getting them back to full function. This is underpinned by our commitment to education and professional development, our access to high level facilities and the atmosphere created by our staff”

Professional Links

The clinic has a great working relationship with local GPs, whose co-operation and expertise are vital. PMC has fostered strong links with Consultants in Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine, Plastic Surgery and Gynaecology, making outward and inward referral a lot smoother. They are very proud to be associated with many sporting and community clubs within the locality from GAA, Rugby, Soccer, Athletics, Cycling, Boxing and dance. The support of these clubs has been vital in the growth of the clinic.

“None of this would have been possible without our incredible staff, our loyal patients, and the supportive local business community.” Paul commented. “This milestone is a massive thank you to everyone who has been a part of the PMC journey.”
