McMenamin’s Green run in Meath West

Dr Séamus McMenamin has been selected by The Green Party to run in the General Election in the Meath West constituency.

The Navan GP says he wants to highlight the lack of resources in Meath for the hugely increased population. "Meath has the lowest numbers of GPs in the country and in many other ways we lack the facilities we should have for our population." He is also concerned that without Green Party involvement in Government that plans for the Navan Rail line will stall.

"We have seen the Green Party impact on policies that have led to cheaper child care, reduced public transport costs and the introduction of practical measures to address the housing crisis."

Dr McMenamin said Meath needs policies that will give people a better quality of life, "I see people everyday who are suffering from stress and mental health crisis and I want to help bring in measures to address the root causes of these."
