Consistency key for McCarthy's army
Bru Na Boinne and An Tuascairt will do battle this Saturday in Donaghmore/Ashbourne GAA at 6pm
Tadgh Boyle's An Tuascairt will go to battle against Bru Na Boinne this Saturday in Donaghmore/Ashbourne in the finale of the 2024 Reginal FC. The North/Curraha combination secured their spot in this weekend's decider after a James McEntee goal 10 minutes before the final whistle proved to be vital. In what turned out to be a strange contest that completely turned on its head three or four times throughout, Bru Na Boinne just edged out Lough Crew last Friday by 2-9 to 0-14.
An Tuascairt have certainly benefited from the addition of Curraha's big players. Diarmuid Moriarty and James McEntee have proven to be major assets to the men in white. Rather fittingly the club that amalgamated with Curraha at underage level, St Vincents, have provided An Tuscairts opposition, Bru Na Boinne, with their biggest assets in the form of corner forward Nigel Hand and full back Davy Tallon.
The clash in the middle of the park will have a huge influence on the result of this contest. Brian Joyce and Rian McConnell provide serious stability for An Tuascairt but St Patrick's men Sean Emmanuel and John Curtis are very influential figures for John McCarthy's army.
PREDICTION - Bru Na Boinne battled hard at various stages in their semi-final clash and if they can maintain consistency throughout, they may just have too much for An Tuascairt.
