The King of PRS winning the Dan Moore Memorial was Gavin Cromwell's crowning moment in what turned out to be a fantastic day for the Balrath-based handler.

The King of PRS took the feature race, the Dan Moore Memorial handicap chase where Cromwell trained the first three home in the race. The Conor Stone-Walsh ridden seven-year-old saw off Path D'oroux in second and Midnight It Is in third to claim the valuable Grade 3.

Speaking after the race, Cromwell was delighted with the performance of his horse and jockey.

"It’s brilliant to win it, and brilliant to have the second and third as well. He was a very cheap purchase as a store and he has kept improving. He has plenty of size and scope and there is no reason he won’t keep improving. Conor is great value for the claim and that was a big help. It’s nearly like a free 5lb."

Earlier in the card, Sixandahlalf proved her Cheltenham festival credentials when taking the Mares maiden hurdle under the shrewd guidance of Keith Donoghue. The 2/1 shot took control at the penultimate hurdle and from there it was easy sailing for Donoghue and the five-year-old. Sixandahalf is now a 7/1 shot for the Mares novice at Cheltenham.

Newcomer to the yard, Noble Birth made it three winners for Cromwell in the EBF Rated Novice Chase. The eight-year-old who was successful previously for Gordon Elliott, only joined Cromwell in the past few months.

De Temps En Temps completed the 255/1 four-timer when taking the concluding bumper under Declan Lavery. Speaking about the magnificent achievement, Cromwell said “It’s been a brilliant day. I’m not sure if I had an across-the-card four-timer before but that’s definitely my first at one meeting. It’s great, at a local track as well."
