Two women charged in connection €91,000 herbal cannabis seizure in Meath

Two woman arrested in connection with the investigation of €91,000 worth of herbal cannabis seized in Navan last Friday have now been charged.

They are both due to appear at Trim District Court at a later date.

This follows an intelligence-led operation involved the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, Meath Divisional Drugs Unit and Revenue Customs Service, with approximately 4.55kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €91,000 seized in Navan.

The operation involved a number of residential properties in the Navan area.

Gardaí arrested a woman (20s) under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 during that operation.

On Saturday, 11th January 2025, Gardaí in Navan arrested a second woman in connection with this investigation. She is also due to appear at Trim District Court at a later date.

Investigations are ongoing.
