It is a busy Sunday of sport this week.

Gaelic football

Crossmolina Deel Rovers are All-Ireland Club Intermediate football champions after Conor Loftus scored a penalty late in extra time to defeat Ballinderry of Derry by two points.

The Irish Examiner reported that Ballinderry were a point up with five minutes of extra time when they overturned the ball in the 20m from the Ballinderry goal with the ball kicked to Niall Coggins who passed the ball to the oncoming Stephen Duffy who was brought down by Ballinderry keeper Ben McKinless.

All-Ireland quarter-finalists Roscommon got their Division Two campaign underway as they welcomed Tailteann Cup champions Down to Dr Hyde Park for a 2pm kick-off.

Roscommon came out on top with a scoreline of 3-21 (30) to 1-20 (23).

In the clash against Westmeath and Louth, Louth came out victorious. The scoreline there was 1-17 to 0-18.

Hurling

It is a big day in the Hurling League as All-Ireland champions Clare got their Division 1A title defense underway with a repeat of last years All-Ireland semi-final when they welcomed Kilkenny to Cusack Park at 2pm.

Kilkenny came out on top at full time with a scoreline of 0-23 to -21.

Former Kerry hurler Fionan Mackessy made his debut for the Cats at left-wing back.

Also in Division 1A, Tipperary put Galway to the sword in Salthill while picking up a 3-25 to 2-16 win earlier.

Soccer

Out-of-form Tottenham have lost 2-1 at home to strugglers Leicester - their fourth straight defeat in the Premier League.

Elsewhere, Brentford hung on to win 2-1 away at Crystal Palace.

Republic of Ireland defender Nathan Collins made his 100th appearance in the league with that win.

At the minute, Aston Villa are taking on West Ham with Villa leading 1-0.

Morgan Rogers has opened the scoring at Villa Park.

Manchester United have their second win in seven Premier League games with a 1-0 victory at Fulham.

A deflected goal from Lisandro Martinez was enough to give Ruben Amorim's side the win.

Amad Diallo also had a goal ruled out late on by VAR.

Rugby

Ulster remain outside the playoff spots in the URC after being beaten by Zebre this evening.

The Italian side came away from Kingspan Stadium with a famous 15-14 win.

Corrie Barrett scored two tries for the hosts but it wasn't enough to avoid defeat.

Earlier, Connacht gave themselves too much to do as they were beaten 22-19 by Glasgow Warriors.

The visitors outscored their opponents in the second half at Scotstoun but couldn't find a winner late on.

Tennis

Alexander Zverev couldn't stop Jannik Sinner securing back-to-back Australian Open tennis titles - losing in straight sets to the world number one in the final.

The German second seed was also runner-up at the 2020 US Open and last year's French Open.

Yesterday, American Madison Keys won her first ever Grand Slam tennis title at the Australian Open.

She beat the previous holder Aryna Sabalenka in a thrilling final.

It was Keys' second major final, after she was thrashed by Sloane Stephens at the 2017 US Open - when she won just three games.

Golf

Padraig Harrington is in a tie for 52nd at the Ras Al Khaimah.

Currently Spaniard Alejandro Del Ray is the clubhouse leader on 20-under-par.
