ATHBOY:

Athboy Convent Community Centre: Support During Power Outage

The Centre was open on Sunday 26th and many locals availed of the facilities.

We understand that many in the area continue to be without power, internet connection and facilities to boil water or heat up meals. We want to extend a welcome to anyone in the Athboy area who continues to be impacted following storm Éowyn to come to the CCC, located on the Kildalkey Road, Eircode C15P280 where you can charge up devices, gain access to the internet, fill flasks with boiling water to take home, heat up something to eat in the kitchen or just have a cup of tea or coffee.

The Centre is open from 9am through to 8pm (Monday-Friday)

While we have this invite and information up on our Facebook page, given challenges with connectivity not everyone affected has access to social media.

Good morning, I'd appreciate it if you could let people know that Bohermeen community centre is available if people in the area want to use the electricity, water or WiFi until their supply is restored.
