Big day in store for Enfield and Navan as Lidl and Tesco open new branches

Two new shopping outlets will open in the county creating dozens of new jobs and much needed retail options for consumers in Navan and Enfield

Lidl will open its seventh Meath branch tomorrow, Thursday, 13th February and will see the creation of 20 new permanent jobs.

Local ladies’ gaelic football star Aoibhín Cleary will have the honour of cutting the ribbon on the new retail development and welcome shoppers into the new store.

The new supermarket offers a spacious shop floor with wide aisles, long tills, restrooms, and baby-changing facilities as well as an in-store bakery and parking.

Alongside opening day discounts, supplier demonstrations and family entertainment, the first ten shoppers across the doors will receive a gift card to redeem against their in-store shop.

Also tomorrow, Tesco is due to open its new store at Clonmagadden, Navan.

The supermarket unit is located at the entrance to the Cluain Adain development on the Clonmagadden Road on the north side of the town. The store will extend to almost 7,000 square feet and include an in-store bakery, coffee station and a Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) machine.
