Funeral details released for young Meath man who died in tragic accident
The funeral details of the young Meath man who died in a tragic accident on Thursday night have been released.
The body of Jack Powderly McEntee (20) was recovered from Lough Ramor in Virginia at approximately 12.30am on Friday morning by crews from Meath River Rescue who worked through difficult weather conditions.
The funeral notice reads:
"Pre-deceased by his grandad Tommy. Jack will be deeply missed and forever loved by his heartbroken parents Debbie and Maurice, devoted brother Alex, grandparents Maureen, Jean and Sean, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends."
"Reposing at St. Joseph’s Chapel of Rest, Old Johnstown (C15 C425) on Sunday, 23rd February from 3pm-6pm. Arriving at St. Ultan’s Church, Bohermeen on Monday, 24th February for Funeral Mass at 11 am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery."
Emergency services had been alerted to an incident at Lough Ramor at around 9:40pm on Thursday night and, following a search by the local fire brigade, Civil Defence and Meath River Rescue, the body of Jack was recovered.
Meath River Rescue posted online: "Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends."
