"It will take a good one to beat her" Cromwell on his Cheltenham chances

Gavin Cromwell runs through some of his best chances at this years Cheltenham Festival

Meath trainer Gavin Cromwell is about to send his largest ever team of horses to the Cheltenham festival and there is plenty of live chances in amongst them. At a recent Cheltenham Festival press morning which took place at Cromwell's stables in Balrath, he ran through some of his Cheltenham Festival contingent and gave his thoughts on each of their chances, writes Tom Gannon.

AL GASPARO (Coral Cup)

I'm not sure if he has improved again since Christmas but he is in great form. It is important to keep him fresh.

HELLO NEIGHBOUR (Triumph Hurdle)

He is unbeaten in four starts and I think he will improve again. They didn't go that quick at the Dublin Racing Festival (DRF), which actually was a negative for us. I think he would have settled better if they went faster. He jumped well and I think he learned a lot the last day. He is very versatile regarding ground.

LIMERICK LACE (Mares Chase)

I don't know why she hasn't sparked this season yet. She has been very disappointing, to be honest. On both occasions this year, she went to races in great form but she did not produce the goods. She travelled with her head in the air and wanted nothing to do with it.

MY MATE MOZZIE (Grand Annual Chase)

He ran well at the DRF but as typical of him, he didn't hit the line. He weakened in the last furlong. Keith (Donoghue) dropped him right out at the back and they went a strong pace up front. They all came back to him apart from the winner. A flat track would help him but he is just a weak finisher. He needs nice ground if he is going to run at Cheltenham.

SIXANDAHALF (Mares Novice Hurdle)

She's been in very good form since winning on her hurdles debut. She is working well. She went around in a few schooling races before her run the last day and that gave her a bit of experience. She stays very well but she is not slow either. I'm very happy with her and it will take a good one to beat her.

STUMPTOWN ( Cross Country Chase)

He has really taken to the cross-country races very well. He is in good form.

THE COMPANYSERGEANT (Novice Handicap Chase)

This is our dark horse. He has only had one run for us, over hurdles before Christmas, and he has improved since.
