Slane Wanderers wills host an exciting fundraising event, in association with fundraisingevents.ie, the “Jungle Challenge,” on Saturday 29th March at the Headfort Arms Hotel in Kells, sponsored by Slane Credit Union.
This event aims to raise essential funds for a new state-of-the-art astro pitch at Wheatfield, which will serve both the football club and the wider community.
Slane Wanderers FC has been a key part of the local community, offering a platform for players of all ages to develop and compete. The funds raised from this event will support the club's ongoing success, ensuring it remains a vital community asset.
This event is not just a fundraiser but a celebration of football, the local team, and the positive impact of sports.
The club is proud to support children’s mental and physical wellbeing, and the planned development at Wheatfield will further enhance players' skills, including social and life skills, for years to come.
The Jungle Challenge will feature 24 local contestants who will face thrilling challenges, including live bug encounters, jungle survival games, and exotic animal interactions.
The night will also include a raffle and live auction with amazing prizes, including signed jerseys from Drogheda FC, Dundalk FC and Armagh GAA.
“We’re excited to bring the community together to support the club’s growth and the development of this essential facility that will provide an accessible space for the entire community to enjoy.” said Brendan Loughran, Chairman of Slane Wanderers F.C.
Funds raised will help close the gap in the €80,000 needed to complete the pitch, following the €162,000 grant received in 2024.
