‘Gold Cup’ Celebrations at Rathfeigh National School

There was great excitement at Rathfeigh NS after Gavin Cromwell’s superstar horse ‘Inothewayurthinkin’ was paraded at the school after his famous Gold Cup victory at Cheltenham.

Cromwell’s other Cheltenham winner ‘Stumptown’ was also present but ‘Inothewayurthinkin’ was the ‘mane’ attraction! It was a memorable occasion for all the children but in particular for Gavin’s children Jake, Sophie and Camron who were really proud of their Dad’s achievement.

The Mark Walsh-ridden Inothewayurthinkin travelled strongly up the Cheltenham Hill to deny Galopin Des Champs a Gold Cup hat-trick. After the fantastic victory in March, Jake was on hand to lead the Cheltenham Gold Cup champion into the winner's enclosure, where they were met with a fantastic reception.

This weekend Gavin Cromwell will run three horses in the Aintree Grand National and his leading hope is the other horse who was paraded around Rathfeigh National School, Cheltenham winner Stumptown. The Cheltenham winner will look to follow the path forged by the popular Tiger Roll who twice completed the Cross Country/ Grand National double. With local jockey Keith Donoghue likely to be in the saddle, Stumptown will be very well supported within Meath.
