'Same Chance Walk' to take place in Trim

April is World Autism Month and Trim Autism Friendly Town (TAFT) is hosting a 'Same Chance Walk' for Autism tomorrow morning (Saturday) to fundraise for Ireland’s leading autism charity, AsIAm.

Wednesday was World Autism Day and TAFT held a well supported casual coffee morning in Stonewall Cafe, Castle Street, that day to mark the event.

Now, tomorrow, Saturday, 5th April TAFT is taking over the Porchfield Parkrun to host a 'Same Chance Walk' for Autism. The walk starts at 9.30am and there will be an after party in Bosca @ Marcies.

"Our goal is not just about fundraising, we want to bring people together in safe and understanding spaces, and help autistic people have more meaningful access to their communities. We also want to build on the public's understanding of autism, remove stigmas, and celebrate difference," explained Melissa Barwell of Chairperson of TAFT

Tomorrow morning's walk is open to everyone. Donations are appreciated but not expected, and Melissa said showing support with attendance means a lot to them.
