Sad passing of renowned Navan RFC stalwart

Navan Rugby Football Club have issued a statement following the passing of great club official Brian Coyle

It is with the deepest of sadness that we have heard of the passing of Brian Coyle on Tuesday 21st November.

Over a period of forty years Brian has served Navan RFC in every Officer role - Secretary, Treasurer and President - and most recently as Trustee and Honorary Life Member. He is synonymous with the growth and development of youth rugby both in Navan and Leinster Rugby.

He was ‘Mister Navan RFC’ for so many decades and will always be remembered for his passion for the game and his determination to grow it through the development of youth rugby in the town, county and province.

He embraced the challenges of rugby and Navan RFC with a kind word, a smile, boundless energy and was always an absolute gentleman.

To Brian’s wife and soulmate Barbara and his daughter Susan and sons Peter and Jamie, we extend our heartfelt sympathies.

Rest in Peace Brian
