Navan's free Christmas shuttle bus service has launched

Mayor of Navan, Cllr Eddie Fennessy with Cathaoirleach, Cllr Tommy Reilly and Navan MD members have launched Meath County Council's free shuttle bus service.

This free service will take passengers into the centre of Navan for Christmas shopping, encouraging people to shop locally.

The service was launched this morning at Moathill Park and Ride, the shuttle service's collection point.

The bus runs from the new Moathill Park and Ride located at the back entrance to St Patrick's Classical School on the N51 to the new bus stop on Kennedy Road, at Kennedy Place opposite Navan Shopping Centre. There are no other stops along the route.

Speaking about the service, Cllr Eddie Fennessy said: "I was delighted to launch Meath County Council's free shuttle bus service this morning. This is a great service that will save people the hassle and cost of parking. It will also reduce congestion problems at Navan Town Centre this Christmas."

The service begins at 10.00am with the last pick up on Kennedy Road at 6.30pm.

It will operate on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 1st, 2nd and 3rd December and then daily from Friday 8th December until 23rd December.

Buses will leave the car park at 10am, 11am, 12noon, 1pm, 3pm, 4pm,5pm and 6pm and will leave Kennedy Place at 10.30am, 11,30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 3.30pm, 4.30pm, 5.30pm and 6.30pm.

Parking at Moathill Park and Ride will also be free of charge for visitors for the month of December.
