Three for Meade in Champion

Castletown trainer Noel Meade has three potential runners for next Tuesday's Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham. Harchibald, Jered and Muirhead give the Meath man a strong hand in the big race on the opening day. Harchibald makes a habit of winning in England when Meade is not there, so that might be an omen? Favourite Binocular, owned by JP McManus who also owns Jered, will be difficult to beat. Celestial Halo could bid to secure a first Champion Hurdle success for Paul Nicholls Hardy Eustace, Brave Inca, Sublimity and Katchit are also in contention. Other Irish raiders include River Liane, Sizing Europe and Won In The Dark
